Privacy policy

Tidystone Cleaning ("Tidystone", "we") cleans homes and offices in and around Washington, DC. This page explains what we collect through tidystone.com, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

• Booking details: your name, email, phone number, service address, home size, the clean you chose, entry instructions and any notes you give us.
• Payment details: your card is collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. We keep only what Stripe returns to us, such as the card brand and last four digits.
• Visit records: arrival and finish times, and the photos of each room our cleaner takes at the end of a visit.
• Messages: emails and texts you send us, and replies to our emails.
• Website usage: standard request logs from our hosting provider, and the cookies described below.

How we use it

• To price, schedule and carry out your cleans, and to charge for them after each clean is finished.
• To send booking confirmations, reminders, receipts and visit photos.
• To send occasional follow-ups, such as a rebooking reminder. Every one of those has an unsubscribe link.
• To measure which of our ads lead to bookings.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

Who we share it with

• Stripe, to save your card and process payments.
• Resend, which delivers our emails.
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website and our booking system.
• Google, through the Google Ads tag described below.
• The cleaner assigned to your visit, who sees your address, entry instructions and notes so they can do the job.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Cookies and advertising

This site uses the Google Ads tag. When you arrive from one of our ads, it sets a cookie that lets Google tell us an ad click later led to a booking. Google's use of this data is covered by Google's advertising policies, and you can manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com. Blocking cookies in your browser does not stop you from getting a price or booking.

How long we keep it

We keep booking, visit and payment records, including visit photos, for as long as you are a customer and for up to seven years afterwards for tax and accounting purposes, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, by emailing support@tidystone.com. We will reply within 30 days. We may keep records we are legally required to keep.

Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
